 Molasses Festival Come to Calhoun County and take it slow as molasses.
What began as a fundraising idea has turned into a 41 year tradition in Calhoun County. The annual West Virginia Molasses Festival kicks off this weekend in Arnoldsburg. Vendors and crafters from all over the region will be present to make this years festival the best yet! Of course the main attraction is the molasses, and the old fashioned way of making it. Visitors can watch the cane being milled, the raw juice extracted, and slowly cooked down to create an all natural sweet molasses that thousands of folks line up for every September.
