Brooks: UK success is resonating with recruits January 08, 2009 4:28 PM LEXINGTON, Ky. Kentucky football coach Rich Brooks says the team's third consecutive bowl victory seems to be paying immediate dividends on the recruiting trail.
He says in an interview with The Associated Press on Thursday that the program's increased visibility is resonating with would-be recruits. Although two highly touted quarterbacks have committed to Kentucky, Brooks says Mike Hartline should be considered the clear No. 1 quarterback entering the spring. He says Randall Cobb would likely be second at quarterback but the team's top returning receiver. Brooks declined to say in the interview when he figures to retire. He says he has no plans to do so now because he is healthy and looks forward to continuing to build the team. |
