Freshman running back Mark Sampson Jr. and Carson Koontz are charged with sexual assault.
Police say the 17-year-old girl told them Sampson and Koontz picked her up from a party in Benwood, in Marshall County, late Saturday night and forced her to have sex with them in a parking lot of a former school.
Sampson was a walk-on player for the Mountaineers.
Koontz is a former John Marshall High School baseball player.
