Pinch Volunteer firefighters brag their christmas trees are fresh. Armed with chain saws they rounded up 100 of them at a Braxton County tree farm Tuesday morning.
Fighting fires is an expensive business, and Pinch and Sissonville are the busiest volunteer departments in Kanawha County.
They say selling trees helps to put a dent in the costs.
Ed Grafton, who runs the tree farm, says he likes to see his commercial tree farm help volunteer organizations.
Tree buyers will also get a pill invented by a biologist to dump in the water at the base of the tree.
Grafton says the treatment can keep the tree from drying up during the holiday season.
The trees go on sale Friday in a lot near the Pinch Fire Department.
