Members of the public workers union, UE Local 170 rallied on the steps of the Capitol building Saturday morning. About two dozen workers cheered and held signs during the rally.
The union wants to focus attention on several issues including the need for a living wage for workers, low morale and what it says is harassment by management at the Department of Health and Human Resources, and the privatization of work usually done by the Division of Highways.
Workers symbolically marched to the door of the Governor's mansion and then to their union hall for the annual convention.
