One area of town that saw an increase in crime is Capitol Street and the surrounding area.

Just on Capitol Street in the last week, police responded to a malicious wounding call and a couple larceny calls.

There was also another malicious wounding call on Brawley Walkway off of Capitol Street, and also larceny and robbery calls on Summers Street and Laidley Street.

Charleston Police do have a sizeable presence in this area on the weekends. Just remember to stay in a group if you're out and about in this part of town.

Don't forget to watch Eyewitness News at 6:00 Tuesday for another Fugitive Files report. It's your chance to help get wanted men and women off the streets and behind bars.
