BEHIND THE KITCHEN DOOR
We start this week at the Ming Buffet at 6309 MacCorkle Avenue in Charleston
RECENT KITCHEN DOORS OPENEDInspectots found 12 violations violations including 4 critical. Inspectors found rice and chicken broth stored at an unsafe temperature, an employee didn't wash his hands between touching dirty and clean dishes and another employee had an open drink on the food prep area. The walk in shelves were dirty, the wiping cloth wasn't stored in sanitizer and the ice scoop wasn't stored in a clean bin. Next up, The China Gourmet at 34 RHL Blvd in South Charleston. Inspectors found 9 violations, including one critical. They found corrosion on stainless steel door frames, there was an uncovered container of food inside a refrigerator and there wasn't a lable on the sugar container. Finally we go to the New Dragon Garden right down the road here at 1453 MacCorkle Avenue in St. Albans. Inspectors found 6 violations including 2 critical. An employee didn't wash their hands after eating and there was food on the salad bar at an unsafe temperature. The wiping cloth wasn't stored in sanitizer and the can opener was dirty. We do have a bunch of places with good reports. The Red Lobster in South Ridge, Fresh Seafood down the road here in St. Albans, The Outback Steakhouse at the Town Center Mall, Harding's Family Restaurant and the Cafe de Paris all received good reports. Fazio's and Leonaro's in Charleston were perfect. Great job guys. Also perfect, the place we're at today, O'Skee's Family Restaurant at 1601 MacCorkle in St. Albans. They've been perfect for two years. |
